============================== IconEx 1.0 By JF Software - Joshua Foster http://www.jfsoftware.net joshua_70448@ureach.com August 2, 2003 ============================== TABLE OF CONTENTS ================= * Introduction * Using IconEx * How to Contact INTRODUCTION ============ IconEx is a simple icon extraction tool from taking icons from regular icon files, cursor files, animated cursors, program files, and DLL files. USING ICONEX ============ When you start IconEx, you will see a blank window. Click the File menu and select the "Open Icon File" option. Browse for an icon- or cursor-containing file and click the Open button. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop any file onto the IconEx window to open it. If you select a file that has no images, you will hear a sound and the window will not change. If you select an icon or cursor, that file's image will appear in the window. If you select an animated cursor, every frame in that animation is shown in the window. If you select a program file or DLL file, every icon in that file appears. To save an icon to a Windows bitmap file (.bmp), click on that icon, click the File menu, and select the "Save Icon" option. To exit the program, click the File menu and select the "Exit" option. Remember that you can resize the program window if you need more space. HOW TO CONTACT ============== Contact name: Joshua Foster Email: joshua_70448@ureach.com Webpage: http://www.jfsoftware.net
