STARTING JOYMOUSE ================= When you start JoyMouse, it will be in minimized mode. The only way you can tell that it is working is that it places an icon on the system tray (bottom-right of the screen). If you right-click the icon, you get a context menu of three things: * Enable/Disable JoyMouse - This will turn JoyMouse control on or off. * Show Settings - Shows the JoyMouse window. * Exit JoyMouse - Shuts down JoyMouse permanently. If you double-click the system tray icon, the JoyMouse window is shown. THE JOYMOUSE WINDOW =================== There are four sections to the JoyMouse window: * Joystick Selection - Pick joystick box: Select a joystick to use (usually there will only be one joystick in this box). * Button Assignments - Button 1: Assign a task to button 1 (trigger): - None - Left Click *****NOTE*****: If you use the Left Click event on one of the buttons on a window's title bar, JoyMouse could stop. Use the Double Click event instead - Center Click - Right Click - Double Click (two left clicks) - Switch Task (switch between two windows) - Start Button - Center Mouse (centers the mouse in the screen) - Shut Down Windows - POV Accelerator - Button 2: Assign a task to button 2 (if there is one present). - Button 3: Assign a task to button 3 (if there is one present). - Button 4: Assign a task to button 4 (if there is one present). - Button 5: Assign a task to button 5 (if there is one present). - Button 6: Assign a task to button 6 (if there is one present). - Button 7: Assign a task to button 7 (if there is one present). - Button 8: Assign a task to button 8 (if there is one present). *****NOTE*****: If you assign a task to multiple buttons then only the last button with that task will work. - Throttle: Assign a task to the throttle (Z axis) if a throttle is present: - None - Speed (moving the throttle changes the mouse speed) - Sensitivity (moving the throttle changes the joystick sensitivity) - Keyboard Moving the throttle changes the current letter (shown under the POV box). To type the letter, click Button 1. To cancel the operation, click Button 2. - Rudder: Assign a task to the rudder (R axis) if a rudder is present: - None - Speed (moving the rudder changes the mouse speed) - Sensitivity (moving the rudder changes the joystick sensitivity) - Keyboard Moving the rudder changes the current letter (shown under the POV box). To type the letter, click Button 1. To cancel the operation, click Button 2. - POV: Assign a task to the Point-Of-View hat if one is present: - None - Scroll Moving the POV hat will move the cursor. If there is a POV Accelerator button and it is pressed, then the following button presses will result: Regular | Accelerated --------|------------ Left | Ctrl+Left Right | Ctrl+Right Up | Page Up Down | Page Down * Option Sliders - Sensitivity: Changes the joystick sensitivity. The more sensitive the joystick is, the more precise movements that can be made. However, this can cause "ghost movements." - Speed: Changes the mouse speed. - Rudder Sensitivity: Changes the rudder sensitivity. The more sensitive the rudder is, the more precise movements that can be made. However, this can cause "ghost movements." - Rudder Speed: Changes the rudder speed. - Repeat a constant hat press: If the POV hat is held down, then the keypress will continue. - Hat Repeat Delay: Changes the delay between keypresses when the POV hat is held down. * Action Buttons - Center: Re-centers the joystick and rudder. Before you click this button, make sure you are not touching the joystick and rudder and that they are in the center positions. - Enable/Disable JM: Turns JoyMouse control on or off. - View Readme: Views this file. - Exit JoyMouse: Shuts down JoyMouse permanently. To minimize the JoyMouse window, click the X button in the top-right corner of the window. JoyMouse will still be active, but it will only appear in the system tray.
