Part 3, Chapter 5 - "Megadeath"

That chapter is not a part of the story, meaning that this will continue from Chapter 3; Annihilation. Hope you enjoyed the joke and the rest of the story.

“Fire the annihilator now!” Roared gfoxcook, as he realized that there was no time remaining to let machine fully charge.
“It’s not fully charged!” Spat ReconRebel.
“We have no choice!” Demanded ramagi. “We have no choice but to destroy this – this monster will…” She smashed her fingers at superior speed against the keyboard.

The annihilator hummed as the electricity charged at a powerful voltage, forming together as one bond, melding with the metal tip that would fire the weapon. Aimed at the oncoming monster, the machine shone a bright blue light as it fired a blue beam of energy from the point, destroying any form of matter it touched. Light drifted away as darkness temporarily engulfed the area. brokensaint69 gasped, unable to dodge the blue beam of death. The beam filled his body and the monster screamed, feeling life torn apart. Emotions, life, death…he saw a white light…at the end of the tunnel. But the beam took it away, everything. The blue beam stretched further, tearing a black hole through towards the horizon, destroying even any from of sound it touched. The machine began to melt and the beam faded as it collapsed.

“Target destroyed!” Smiled ramagi. “Annihilator has melted due to heat because it was not charged, but we faced no choice. The sonic boom was destroyed as well.”
“Submissions still approaching.” Commented ReconRebel. “Laser towers one and two are down!”
“What’s the SAM capacity?” Asked YoinK_VineS.
“Forty percent,” Replied Crono-. “We can’t hold our base defence forever!”
“You guys have to do something!” Growled XkwiziTOnE, shaking. “If the submissions get us…”
“They will eat us…and grow stronger…” Whispered Inuzuka-Kiba, who was unaware that no one heard him. He knew that his time in the portal was a rough one and he witnessed submissions eat one another to gain strength. Surely, humans would provide much more for them…
“I have a plan.” Replied D0GMA, adjusting the black veiled cloak that had partially unravelled in the suspense. “I will need your rod ramagi. And gfoxcook…we have to stop them ourselves.”
“There’s too many!” Shrieked ramagi. “You can’t kill that many!”
“Hang on.” A thought came to _lightning_ as he stood up. “My name…”
“What about it?” Queried Eldarion.
“That’s it!” Blinked XwaynecoltX as he realized the logic.
“I don’t get it either…what do you mean?” Qwoxyl was short on nerves.
Alkador smiled. “As I read in a story once…lightning destroys air and quake destroys ground.”
“gfoxcook!” Smiled Afterburner. “Use lightning and earthquake powers to defeat them!” He sighed as there was no sign of him or D0GMA in the room.

D0GMA and gfoxcook stood together atop on the commander tower balcony, with a great wind rippling through the air. The SAMS were running low, the laser towers were weakening and time was short.
“Do you think you can summon the strength?” Asked D0GMA. “You do know that the greater the will, the less words of Ancient tongue needed to initiate that power?”
“Yes, I did.” Responded gfoxcook, taking a deep breath.
Holding hands, they focused on destroying the enemy, to summon a power to defeat them all. They breathed in unison as they became one, at heart, of the soul of life. Emotions blurred away as their thoughts were poised on stopping the threat. Life…was on a string and they poured all their willpower at once into one another. Feeling each other’s emotions, they realised the power that they held. They shared the same body as they felt each other melded in one another. This was the same process that YoinK_VineS and ramagi had accomplished, only this – connection was so strong it felt as though nothing could break through. The two spoke at once.

Universus noster vis vires! Muto humus claustrum!

The sky flashed with lightning from the heavens without sign of clouds as hundreds of submissions fell. The ground below rose with huge spikes, giving way and swallowing the oncoming submissions. Lightning and earth melded as one, as the attack forged together, with hailstones of earth cascading from the sky like bolted meteors of death, while the plasmatic ground released volts of electricity powerful enough to destroy bodies. Blood, death, supreme power. The lightning and earth continued to meld more as bolts of earth slammed against monsters trying to escape, pushing to the ground. Lightning burst from the ground, striking the enemy. The world turned upside down as the ground became air and the air, ground. Hundreds were slaughtered in such a power, a power that had the most devastating effects.

The remaining submissions realized they were no match for the power, avoiding the few laser towers that continued firing. The returned towards the near empty citadel as they had no choice but to run.

“Ambush is backing away,” Smiled ramagi as she breathed slowly. “gfoxcook and D0GMA succeeded!”
Everyone cheered together as they all gave hugs. -Mazza- ran to YoinK_VineS as they gave each other a warm kiss, while YoinK_VineS squeezed -Mazza- on the buttocks, winking at the man with a grin on his face. ramagi glanced at the two as she left the room unnoticed.
“I think they just did the impossible.” Smiled RedCircle, as he continued to look at the large monitor above them, watching the few submissions vanish away.
“The point is they just did and we have to be very grateful to them.” Comforted the_phantom_spancker.
“I’m shocked…” carmelhadinosaur stared in awe as he smiled, looking upon the success of his comrades.

They had succeeded yet again. The submissions had fled and they had won their first battle. This war seemed to be hopeful. Yet none but gfoxcook and D0GMA saw the thousands of dead bodies littered beyond the military base, shocked at death. They had defeated the enemy, but with a cruel and deadly power they could not use again. D0GMA grunted, leaving the area. gfoxcook only stared at the chaos before him.
“What’s done is done and cannot be undone,” He said. “It’s only a matter of time before they strike again…” He left the balcony without looking backwards. The others were not aware of the horrific outcomes of war.
